Transportation from Cairo to Ain El Sokhna

I'm coming with my family to Cairo next week and we have decided to spend a few days in a resort in Ain El Sokhna. Can anyone recommend a company or driver to get us there? The resort we stay in stated that the price of the taxi would be 600-700 LE, but that sounds an awful lot for a less than two hour drive. Thanks in advance!

That does sound a lot., You can drive from Luxor to Aswan and stop off twice, taking six hours, for about LE400, though I suppose Cairo could be a more expensive location generally.

I don't exactly know what you mean by resort. I'd try to find a company that specialises in transfers.

The Blue Cab in Cairo offers transport services:

For information about taxi cars in Cairo read this article:

As for the price, Cairo to Ain El-sokhna is not a common route for tourists, as it is between Aswan and Luxor. Most people who go to Ain El-sokhna are either Egyptians or expatriates who live in Cairo. It might be that the resort is paying for the 2 ways. The car will go to Ain El-sokhna full and then go back to Cairo empty. Try to get rates from different sources and choose the one that suits you.

Thank you for your help. I have sent an email to the bluecab as well as to the airport shuttle service. I hope to receive an answer soon.
