Maldives from KL

Hi fellow travellers. I will be KL in December and want to take a 1 week visit to the Maldives, returning to KL. Can anybody suggest the cheapest way to book a package, with protection/credit card etc lot of scamming agents out there!

Hi welcome to the forum

I recommend you explain what KL is to get a better response.

I’m guessing Kuala Lumpur? If I was planning this I would check out flight options from KL to Male and then connect one of the specialist agencies recommended on here to book the resort, transfers etc.

Seems that Air Asia is the only direct flight from KL to Male. Have a look at their website. But the flight arrives at 8.10 pm, which is not good for transfer to a resort. We got a Silk Air flight from Singapore, and it arrived at about 11.30 am which gave plenty of time for transfers to our resort of Six Senses.

Sri Lankan also flies from KL, but it has a stopover in Colombo.

Air Asia would work if you either stop over in Male or chose a resort with a speedboat transfer as these operate transfers at all times.

I think you would find getting an end to end protection using Air Asia difficult I’d suggest for peace of mind booking the flight on a credit card and then emailing one of the Maldives Specialists for the resort which would be very safe:
