I arrived at the airport and went to the Lao Skyways check in counter. The attendant told me to go into the line for Lao Airlines even after I showed him my online confirmation.
We waited in line for nearly an hour, and finally got to the counter. Surprise, not able to check in as it was for the wrong airline. They told us to go to Lao Skyway ticket counter, but no one was there, even though the operation hours said someone should be there. There was a group of people, who were equally concerned and confused, that were supposed to be on my flight.
We got someone from Lao Airlines to try and track down someone from Lao Skyways. At first, they refused to come out from the back. After some time, a lady came out and said that there are no flights today. She tried to give me a phone number to call. I told her that I wasn't able to make phone calls. After some waiting a man gave me his phone with someone on the other end. Basically they said that the flight was canceled and I should have received an email (never did) and they refused to do anything else for me. They couldn't put me on a flight the next day or refund my money right away (they said it will take 30 days).
Save yourself the headache, don't book with this airline. They are incredibly unprofessional and rude. They laughed at us as we stressed and tried to figure out a solution.
