Any suggestionsfor Guest Friendly hotels located on the beach in Pattaya? I am looking at a range of $40-$60 USD per day.
Try nova lodge - right in the middle of the bay on the beach road.50-60 dollars will get you a superior room there. nice pool, very quiet considering its central location. Guest friendly? Ummm....may i ask what kind of guest.Local, female variety,or just generally guest friendly?
In the range of 40-60 USD Hotels usually charge about 500 to 1000 bahts ( about 14- 27 USD) for guests. And usually no charge in the 10-40 USD.
Yes the nova lodge would be a ggod choice - and even better if you join pattaya sports club because you can then get it substantially discounted 9 by maybe 20%) - and it is guest friendly. I like the twin palms, next door to the haardrock, which has a nice front pool on beach road, and is only about B1000 a night..
You con't need to pay $40 for a nice hotel - and in all likelihood if you do they won't be gues friendly
Try the Residence Garden Hotel. If you access it through the Pattaya Pages website, you will get a deal for less than 30USD per night and it is awesome. Very guest friendly and the best value in town.
Bay Breeze Hotel, around 500 baht (aircon, pool, safe in room, big bathtub, hw, cable TV. Guest friendly - free of charge!
Honey Hotel, pool, aircon, hw, private toilet/shower, cable TV - 400 baht - Guest friendly - free of charge!
Intown Holiday Hotel, around 600 baht, same stuff as Bay Breeze - guest friendly @ no charge! Security box at front desk.
The fancier hotels charge for guests!
Lots and lots of choices for GUEST FREE hotels! Find a good cheap place, try it for a night - don't like it change to a different place!
When booking your hotel, book for 2 persons and that will take care of your "guest charges". This is cheaper than paying the extra they want to charge at the time.
Dear sjshady in Pattaya it doesn't work to book a dobble room without to pay and extra charge for nights visitor. it's a protection of the good hotels for not have to much girls in the hotels . Hotels up to about 1500 bahts don't make problem usually but good hotels don't want to be brothels.
Do you remember if there was a safe/deposit box in the Honey Hotel in Pattaya?
Also..do you know if theres an online site to book/reserve a room at the Bay Breeze? I found one site but it quoted 900 baht/night..?
Yes there is a safe deposit box at the Honey Inn, it is at the front desk. There is someone at the desk 24 hours a day.
First, the Bay Breeze is a little nicer than the Honey Inn and they have a safe in each room. Swimming pool had some problems last month.
Bay Breeze usually has a price of around 500 or 600 baht during the summer. Sometimes this includes an okay free breakfast. Don't think they have a web page - but here are two e-mail addresses: email@example.com or
firstname.lastname@example.org. They usually respond within 24 hours.
I have used both hotels and find the staff helpful and the rooms reasonably clean. Bay Breeze has bathtubs and a large bathroom with good lighting. Most of the rooms in the Honey Inn have showers, on the 2nd and 3rd floor there are some bathtubs in a few rooms also.
The Honey Inn has made a lot of improvements over the past two years, looks a lot better now inside. There are around 6 rooms on the 4th floor, they may do a lower price for these rooms, some people don't want to walk that far upstairs. These rooms are less used than other lower rooms. They may do a deal for longer stays and paid in advance (keep receipts, I have never been ripped off by them.)
They are both guest friendly with no additional price increase. Book one or two nights around there and check out some other places - then stay or move. Intown Holiday Hotel is located between these two hotels, it's worth a look see too! (Guest friendly too!)
