Hi, going to Thailand soon. Was wondering if its possible to hire a bike and do our own waterfall tour, taking in the places in between as we please?
Are we talking bike as in motorcycle or bicycle? If the later keep in mind, most waterfalls are up in the mountains (up being the keyword) and rather spread out.
If the former, are you an experienced rider with a motorcycle license? If yes, then you can find bikes from scooters up to full road machines available for rent. But get and bring an IDP (Intl Driving Permit) with you as Thai police love to fine riders without one. And make your your travel medical insurance covers you on a rental bike overseas.
If no license or experience then start working on a Plan B that doesn't involve motorcycles.
