Hotel for one day in Bangkok

I arrive in Bangkok on November 23 at 12:55AM. I will need to head to straight to a hotel to rest up and then spend one day exploring the city. Does anyone have recommendations on where to stay that will be convenient to doing some quick sightseeing?

Hotel Inn Silom would be a good choice and below your budget.

Millions of tourists settle for hotels around and under $25 - even at half your budget price the hotel will still be okay.

My advice is to stay in the Sukhumvit or Siam area so you can use the Skytrain but at only one day available it probably won't matter.

The Amari Boulevard Hotel will be discounted quite a bit. Walk to malls, vendors, travel agencies for drivers. Skytrain, nightlife and restaurants.

One day will not be enough time.

Read up on how to get a taxi at the airport. Lots of old posts on transportation and currency.
