Visa on arrival?

Hi,

I'm a Canadian citizen and obtaining a visa for Cameroon is really tricky - I need to get a letter of invitation from someone in Cameroon. I'm going to learn French, but nothing is organized and when I tried to ask someone at the institution where I'm planning to learn French (Institut Francais du Cameroun) for a letter of invitation, he quoted me a sum of around $200 Canadian!

Is there any way I can get a visa on arrival? If so, how much is it?

no, that's not possible. You can either enter the country visa-free (CAR, Chad, Congo, Nigeria) or you have to organize a visa before coming to the country. A number of flight carriers will only let you board their planes if you have a visa in your passport.

Have you tried a tour operator for that letter of recommendation?
