nestors for rooms and refreshments

many years ago i stayed at a place called nestors in corozal...was wondering if it's still there.

..found the place to be interesting and good for info

..i'm also looking to make my way down the caribe coast to trujillo in honduras and want to take as many boat hops as possible...starting with a boat from corozal to one of the belize islands, and then on to maybe livingston or puerto barrios.

..any help with the above questions would be helpful....i have some experience in this territory from many years past and would be happy to share experiences.

The hotel is still here, but now called Las Palmas.

The daily Thunderbolt water taxi to Ambergris Caye still runs, but only one run each now. Departs Corozal at 7 am.

From AC, water taxis go to Caye Caulker.

From CC, you can get a water taxi to Belize City, or a sailing trip to Placencia -- that's with Raggamuffin (google it for their website).

Placencia to Punta Gorda by road unless your charter a boat.

From PG, water taxis go to Livingston and Puerto barrios.

This site has some information...

Yeah, I stayed at Nestor's in Feb. 2000. Very different place. Quite a dump, but pleasant. Bar was full of posters mostly putting down women. Very macho. But sort of funny. Nasty room. Had a huge fight with my girlfriend there.
