One Night Aspen Sep 26 - Recommendation for Lodging Please

We will be driving from RMNP to Aspen in the evening, then getting up early to go to Maroon Bells. Need a clean decent place to stay that is close to the bus to Maroon Bells. What's left for one night is slim pickings under $200 and the reviews are questionable at many. also would like to avoid stairs if possible.

Choices available:

mountain chalet aspen

annabelle inn

hotel durant

St. Moritz

Tyrolean

Molly Gibson

aspen mountain lodge

snow queen lodge

inn at aspen

hotel aspen

alternately there is Viceroy in Snowmass Village for $153 on hotwire which looks awesome.

how far is Snowmass Village from downtown Aspen/bus? If we stay here where do we park to catch the bus?

thank you in advance for any input.

Mountain Chalet is an old Aspen classic and right beside the transit center.

For that price, I would go to Viceroy and drive to Bells before 8 and hope for a space. If the lot is full, drive back to Aspen Highlands (+/- 7 miles) to park there to catch the bus to Bells.

We loved Mountain Chalet! They have an elevator and an awesome free breakfast. Bus is across the street and we walked to the bars and restaurants. Enjoy!

I used to work in Snowmass...the Viceroy is great, but I'd so much rather be in Aspen. Worth it for the convenience and ease of walking around. Look at the Jerome...maybe you can get a deal.

I agree Eric but the OP does not seem to be seeing Aspen, they are getting there late going to Bells and moving on. Maybe next time.
