Avalon lodging in October

We are a retired couple who will be visiting Catalina Island in mid-October after doing some national parks. While we are active, I have problems with stairs, which seems to be the common mode in the Avalon condos/hotels. Can anyone suggest a hotel or b and b near the center of downtown activities/restaurants which would have great views of the water and an elevator? We located a decent condo uphill with a golfcart but now views! Thanks for any help you can send!

Try the Pavilion Hotel is located in the middle of town. They have a second floor, but you could reserve a downstairs room. It's shaped like a horseshoe motel, but had a big remodel. Breakfast included outside in the lovely grass courtyard. The beach and Armstrongs Restaurant just across the way is great for seafood.

Hotel Villa Portofino also has some ground floor units and it's close to town.

You also mentioned a condo. Have you checked out Hamilton Cove Condos? Each unit comes with it's own golf cart and most of the units have fabulous views. You can either stay in Buildig 10 (which has an elevator) or request a unit without stairs (Yes, some exist).
