Riga in January

Looking for a few answers here:

1. Intended weather around this time? How cold does it get at night.

2. Safety & security. Heard stories about the stag do's being targets from the wide boys.

1) weather is cold. Maybe snow. Nights can get very cold like minus 20.

Can be heavy wind at day time making the feeling much colder.

Check forecast few days before to see if snowboots are needed.

2) Usually is was the other way around. Crazy drunk Brits attacking locals.

Not so many stags anymore, so problem is minor.

Everyone who behave nice do have a good time in Riga.

what is the easiest way to get to and back from the Arena Riga to 13. janvāra iela 19, Central District, Riga, LV-1050, Latvia? Train/Tram etc?

More so at nights. I'm attending an event in the evening that is probably going to run into the late hours

I would walk to K. Valdemara iela and take the trolly bus to centre/old town.

Should be 10 min. walk from the arena and small walk through the old town

to your final destination.

Trolley bus runs normally late when concert, else the taxi price is cheap ;)

(be careful with street taxi many cheaters, use air baltic taxi (green), red cap (red),

panda taxi or taxifly app)

Install Taxify application, it will be less than 5 EUR. Uber also works. Panda taxi is cheap.
