New Years In Vilnius

We are planning for New years eve in Vilnius, does anyone know any websites to recommend to see whats on while we are there??

I have googled it a bit and have seen there is fireworks and a light show some years, wondering if it will happen this year.

Any tips would be much appreciated!

Well, some years there are organised concerts and fireworks in the city, but on other occasions there is only people who bring their own fireworks and shoot them :) Hard to say if anything in particular is planned for this year :) However, various nice celebrations are going on in restaurants, but of course you need to book.

Thnaks Pliumbum, do you have any recommendations or links to a website that has names/details of restaurants in central Vilnius by any chance??

Also are there any Nightclubs worth noting?

Cathedral square and Rotuses aikste are the two places to see a concert or crowds with champagne and fireworks. We reserved a table at the Cili Pica on Pilies g and had a great time until 4am. Most restaurants downtown oldtown have New Year's celebrations; it's all about location, though, if you ask me. Pilies gatve is near both the public squares so you can take a break from inside and see the action outside. It's really a fun place to be.

I guess you will also need to do sth before and after the New Year's Eve. Thus, try this: www.nuotykiuakademija.lt/index.php… There are great activities with Huskies and Inuit, and the prices are "lithuanian" :)
