Tarkine Forest Adventure at Dismal Swamp

I read someone's blog about this place. And that there is a slide " to go down a massive, 100 metre long slide in to the Dismal Swamp – one of the fun things to do in Tasmania that the kids will love!"

I checked on google map, it seem to be closed? The blog was written last nov.

Is it closed for certain part of the year?

It's a bit like Brigadoon: it emerges and disappears into the mists again quite regularly.

At the moment it's closed.

It'll probably open again in summer.

Hi choo o,

Yes as stated, it opens, and it closes, seasonal issue and often personal safety issues.

To be honest I'd spend that time somewhere else like on the Tarkine drive.

Even during the open season the slide may be closed due to high winds. If going for the slide and that's a big part of the day for everyone, give a call on the day to be sure the slide is open.

I've done the slide, bit scary but good.
