Why a week in the 'Gong?

There's plenty to do if you have a car, but you will be a bit limited if restricted to public transport.

In Wollongong there's a couple of restaurants, aa beach some pubs....

You can get a train to Kiama, where there's beaches, few decent restaurants, blowhole...

With a car, heaps of options.

Some common courtesy is always a good thing.

Ok

Where are you staying in the gong? There are some great places to eat in Crown St

Getting around outside the main centre is pretty hard without a car

You van train to Kiama or north to Coalcliff but shanks pony will be a necessity

You can get to jamberoo by public transport but that is easily google.

For the gong, there is a free bus that travels in a loop stopping at the train station. Thursday night there is an Eat Street market with live music in the cbd mall, with a variety of cuisines and popular with the locals, In Wollongong there are 2 main beaches. You could hire a car whilst in Wollongong and do day trips to the Southern Highlands, visit the Nan Tien Temple in theWollongong suburb of Berkeley. Drive on sea cliff drive along the Northern Suburbs, a very scenic route. There is Symbio zoo between Sydney & Wollongong. An array of wineries near Gerringong and towards Nowra.
