Hotel or motel in Springvale (Melbourne)?

Can anyone recommend a decent hotel or motel just for one night, maybe 2, for someone attending a workshop in Springvale (near (Springvale & Dandenong Roads)?

Would like to be near the workshop venue rather than driving or train-ing in from further away, and also would like to be near restaurant(s) - or if the hotel has an in-house restaurant that'd be ideal.

Thanks!

Springvale *shudder*. Personally I'd be inclined to stay up the road in Glen Waverley which isn't too far.

I've heard the Waverley International Hotel isn't bad. There's a Quest there which is a chain I hold in high regard. Or even the Novotel if you want to pay a bit extra.

Right back from the corner of Springvale and Dandenong Roads is the Mulgrave Court Motel. Behind the Vale Pub (for meals) and a small row of shops;

Also diagonally opposite a Coles supermarket - although Springvale Junction itself is a dogs breakfast of an intersection.
