The new IGA has opened! What are the prices like?

The plans for the IGA looked really good, and there were promises made re price matching mainland store prices. Can anyone comment on this, particularly fresh produce & alcohol? Thanks!

Prices are ok. Crackers back in melb $2.5, about $4 at iga HI, 4 muffins approx $6 etc. Paid alot more at new caledonia.

I've been now and I would also consider their prices expensive compared to the mainland. They do have a pretty good range though and a nice deli section.

I was on Hamilton Island IGA recently.

I was very happy with the range of products available. Plus catalogue specials are the same as on the mainland.

There are also IGA’s generic (think that’s the name?) Black & Gold products.

Heaps cheaper & better than the (old)general store.

A BBQ chook costs 12$

Alcohol costs more than the mainland, but still worthwhile compared to paying 18$ for a small spirit drink around the main pool bar ... Exy in my opinion
