Booking restaurants in advance.

We are staying at the Beach Club on Hamilton Island for four nights at the beginning of December.

Would anyone advise booking restaurants in advance before we arrive?

Which ones do people recommend to go to or avoid?

Thanks in anticipation

I dont think you should book in advance. The island offers different options you can choose from. I recommend Tako restaurant (mexican food). I suggest you to bring a lot of money because the island is quite expensive. Cheers

you can see most of the menus and prices online and if you want to go to somewhere like Bommies or the Beach Club restaurant I would suggest you book at least as soon as you arrive. You can always change the booking but we have had a few times when restaurants were booked out.

I usually always book ahead to avoid disappointment.

Usually book a few days in advance! if you like asian food you MUST try Coca-chu! Its along the beach near the public beach pool! Every time I come up to Hamilton island I go straight there! Also try the Hamilton Island golf club for lunch - you get to do an amazing tour and have lunch looking out over Hamilton island and the Whitsundays!

We were at HI last week and were advisd to download the app and make bookings through that, but it was school holidays. We found some things were already booked out when we got there. I second Tako, and groups under 10 didn't require a booking.

I book ahead if I really am set on a certain date and place and also booking through the app lets you know if a place is closed for a private function.

Some require bookings others are walk in only. Went to Tako on night 1 food was amazing (no booking req) However if your not a spice lover then you might not enjoy it. Last night we went to Mata Ray had to wait about 20 mins for a table but the food again was well worth it! Booked for Romanos and Coca Chu the next couple of nights. Book a few days in advance to advoid disappointment!
