HOHO & Explorer bus, Central Station pick-up, etc.

We are planning to pick up either the HOHO or Explorer bus at Central Station. We'll be taking one of the city buses in from Enmore Road to Central Station. Does anybody know where the pick-up points for both the HOHO and Explorer are?

Also, for both of these tours, can we purchase a 48-hour ticket, when we board, and if so, do we did cash or can we pay by a credit card.

Thanks!!!

the central station pick up point for the sydney explorer is on the eddy ave side (main entrance). bondi explorer pick up points are elsewhere in the city where both routes overlap. i was under the impresssion u could only buy 24 hour tickets and would be surprised if the driver had cc facilities but i could be wrong.

Unless they have changed it last time I took the HOHO bus around Sydney the Leg1 bus (CBD Tour) exchanges to another bus for the Leg2 tour to Bondi and the Eastern Suburbs at Central Railway Station at the main entrance Lien mentioned above.

There are 30 stops around Sydney's attractions, and the entire route takes approximately 90 minutes. The bus departs every 15 - 20 minutes from each stop and tickets are valid for 24 or 48 hours from first use. The buses connect 100 William Street or Central Station stop.

So if wanting to do the whole HOHO experience you could catch the Leg2 tour to Bondi first before the city tour. For more info see link below.

Hi,do you really need to pick up these services from Central? As it may be easier to catch the bus from Enmore (423.426 and 428)to George St either to Town Hall or Wynard and catch the Explorer service from these areas(just walk across the road, whereas you will have to walk down to Eddy Ave then find the bus stop there)You can actually buy a 2 day combined ticket for $68.00 which also includes unlimited travel on standard govt bus services. You can buy the tickets from the Explorer driver or from the Transit Shop located at Wynard and QVB,and im sure there is no credit card facilities on the bus.

Im not so sure on the private HOHO but it also stops on George St opposite Town Hall

Bigrockinguy, unforunately that information is no longer up to date.

The 2 day tickets are no longer available. Tickets are now $40 for 24 hrs (which allow unlimited journeys on either Explorer bus). The only alternative is the Sydney Pass (which are very expensive).
