Cullinans or Roadford House?

Hi to all the experts!

We will be staying in Dooling for two nights in early August and are trying to decide between the above two places to stay.

Any recent experiences or strong opinions? Both have received some very favorable reviews here and look great on their websites, so it's been difficult for an outsider to tease out the significant differences.

Thanks for any help you can give!

Have stayed at Cullinan's a couple of times. Last May was my most recent stay. Room was large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner delish.

I enjoyed a superb meal at Cullinan's in April this year.

I really don't think you can go wrong with either place, and both are conveniently located for an evening visit to McGann's or McDermott's - pubs where hopefully you'll be able to enjoy some music.

One recommendation: do bring a torch for the walk to/from the pubs, as there are no street lights or pavements.

We stayed at Roadford house and I can not fault it. The rooms are not luxurious but are clean and comfortable. The owners are wonderfully and provide a warm welcome and are very helpful for organising tours or giving advice on the best places and (pubs) to visit. The breakfast and dinners in the restaurant are gorgeous. So even if you do not stay there you should check it out for dinner if you are in the area.

Hope you enjoy your visit.
