Coleraine UK-accomodations

We will be in Coleraine for a soccer tournament from 7/30 to 8/5 and need a recomendation for a hotel or B&B for the week for ourselves and other parents. Another possibility would be renting a small cotttage. In addition, we're wondering about the availability of public transportation in the area. Any information would be

Try The Lodge Hotel or Bushtown (both in Coleraine) Bayview Hotel (in Portballintrae)or Comfort hotel in Portrush.

All of the above are within easy reach of the various locations of the matches.

Try the nothern ireland tourist board for other selfcatering options.

Hope you have a great time!

I would advise you to try to stay in either Portrush or Portstewart.

While Coleraine is not such a bad place, Portstewart is possibly the most beautiful town on the island of Ireland and Portrush is party central with nightclubs, bars and amusements etc.

The 140 bus goes between all 3 on a regular basis so it is easy to get to and from Coleraine.

The buses go past the Uni where some tournaments are on and they finish up beside the showgrounds where the rest of the tournaments are on.

The beaches at Portrush / Portstewart are like nothing you will see elsewhere. The Portstewart one is so beautiful that the National Trust manages it.

Oh, and I suppose it is worth saying that Coleraine University, if it is where your tournament is on, is a bit outside the town so staying in Coleraine itself is not that important.

And there is a train line to Portrush from Coleraine via University.

I can recommend Our Beach House self catering in Castlerock. The house sleeps 7 - 1 double room and 2 twins (there is also a sofa bed in the living room should it be needed). The house is a 1 min walk from a long sandy beach and has a large garden that has football posts marked on the wall. It can be looked at www.ourbeachhouse.co.uk
