I'm doing some research for a trip to Limburg in late September, and I'd like some clarification as to how we can pay our bus fare, please.
In the past, I've handed the bus driver some cash, then they rubber-stamp a paper ticket for me. This was the case last September, but I understand that things have changed since. So, my questions are...
o Can you still pay the bus driver, after stating the destination, in exchange for a paper ticket? This link would suggest not... https:/…taking-the-bus-tram-or-metro.htm
o How does contactless payment work? Do I still state the destination to the driver, flash my card, then get a paper ticket, or do I board the bus, flash my card then flash again on exit? (I'm assuming that if the latter, and I forget to check-out, I get charged a daily maximum cap?)
Many thanks for any guidance you can give!
