Been to this area a couple of times now. Stay at the fantastic Watermouth Cove Camp Site. Just looking for ideas of things to do out and about with 13 and 15 year old children. Thank you.
Surfing, boat trips, trip to Lundy, walking the coast path, Aquarium, haunted house, Arlington Court for a carriage ride, Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, Lynton Cinema, Lynton for a Victorian cliff railway, water cannon, Exmoor for ponies and deer, Dark Skies - the NP offers rent on a big telescope.
Water cannon? Where's that can you tell me more?
That's a fab list, we've done something's but not all...
Well they're not like the ones you get at swimming pools but they are huge - it's part of the Lynmouth hydro electric produced for the village in the Gorge.
hydro-electricity, and how it is produced for the village. The gorge, beautiful woodland walks by the waterfalls. get the chance to operate the giant water wheel and see the big water cannons. It's an exhibition with a difference.Edited: 18 August 2017, 22:31
Thank you that sounds really good
Hello we're novice walkers, and we'll be venturing on to the southwest coastal path this year for only the third time. It's so beautiful and the scenery is amazing; rocks, seaviews and beaches etc. Visitors can get walking guides and maps from museums, and from the Ilfracombe TIC at the theatre. It's all free as well.
We're still learning about safety and the right equipment but they are so necessary. Best wishes for summer 2018. There is a website at https:/… .
