Martin & Carol Took over Torbay Sands Hotel in August 2006.

We as owners of the Torbay Sands Hotel would like everyone to realise that we was not running Torbay Sands Hotel in April 2006.

So we was not responsable for the bad review that these guest gave the Hotel.

You might want to change or add to your website to say that you took it over when you did & what you have done to chage things for the better. This is just an idea as I have just looked at your website & it look tired. I am not having a pop.

and if the website matches your grammar you may wish to change that also.

"So we was not responsable" = "so we WERE not RESPONSIBLE".

Also, possibly more helpfully, note that if you register as an owner, you can have reviews that were left before you took over removed entirely. You'll have to go through the owner registration process.

Where are you seeing any bad reviews for your hotel? All I see are two pages of 5 star reviews and 100% thumbs up. I'd call that a good result, though they are mostly by OPWs.

'OPWs' ? I presume that might mean 'One Post Wonders' ?

It does seem odd that people who claim to have stayed there for several years choose only now (4 years after the change of ownership) to post their first eulogy . . . .
