Vienna to airport-which train station is best?

Our flight next June 2013 leaves early in the morning from Vienna to the USA. Which Vienna train or bus station has a fast (direct if possible) connection to the airport?

Could you be more specific? What do you mean with "early flight"? 04.00? 05:00? 06:00?

Since it's an international flight, we will have to be there no later than 8:00 a.m.

A couple of possibilities depending on where you are staying.

Express train: WIen-Mitte Subway/Train Interchange

Local trains: Wien-Mitte as well, Wien-Praterstern, Wien-Rennweg

Bus: Schwedenplatz, West Station

You could also pre-reserve taxi transportation which only costs approximately 30€. This might be the most comfortable option. Just be aware that traffic is heavier in the morning (except weekends of course).
