Car parking near State Opera and acceptable dress.

We have booked an evening to the State Opera in the summer to see the "Wiener Mozart Orchester",and would be obliged if anyone could advise on the appropriate dress code for the evening please?

We would prefer to use our car if possible, and would appreciate any advice with regard to parking reasonably close to the Opera (within walking distance).Thank you.

An underground parking garage is directly next to the State Opera.

You reach it via the Ringstrasse and turning right at the bristol Hotel - then 30 metrs to the entrance.

To park on the street is next to impossible and subject to regulations that are probably not well understood by visitors.

But, I would carefully check the site for the concert - If it is the same orchestra , that I think it is - most of their concerts are held in the Musikverein.

Dress for a tourist concert in summer- most come casually dressed.
