Yes, it is perfectly possible. From Stockholm, go to Sigtuna in the morning. Spend a couple of hours there, before taking the boat to Skokloster (departs 12.30). There are buses as well, but the boat is faster. Although you are limited to one departure per day.

About one hour, but it only runs during tourist season. It will give you a bit less than 2 hours in Skokloster before it returns to Stockholm. But if you want to stay longer you can return by normal public transport.

Jones: we’ll be there in August...

Ok, if it gets too late we’ll take bus and train back to Stockholm

I think the boat runs until the 12th in august. After that you have to take the bus, but both Sigtuna and Skokloster are pretty easy to reach with train and bus. Bus between Sigtuna and Skokloster however takes around 1,5 h.

Oh no! Impossible then because we’re staying in Stockholm between 13th and 20th August.

The tourist season is really short!

Maybe I should say peak tourist season. But in mid-August, most Swedes return to work.
