We are a group of women aged 40 to 60 who like to dance and drink. Should we stay in the Old Town or near the Strip? We like busy noisy bars but need them age appropriate.
The Old town ,, no question.
thank you..any particular part?
We`d really need dates to give you any reasonable advice ..
New town ?
May 2019. Thank you
Always stay at Vila Sao Vicente which is adults only and 5 minute walk from old town square. Book sea view if you can.
Always go for our girls trip. Small hotel and has beach towels and brollies if you want them.
New town/Strip area is aimed squarely at the young 18-30 party crowd, also popular with Stags and Hens. There are a few less manic places off the strip but mainly lurid coloured cocktails in fishbowls and thumping music, my 22 year old son is probably on his way home from a night there as I type. The Old Town definitely a better fit for your group. Lively, lots of choice but a lot more relaxed.
There are over 600 bars and restaurants in the city ... you`ll have plenty of choice everywhere and. stags/hens. East end is definitely not 18-30 at that time, it is mainly couples and people like yourselves .. best hotels for you are there or along the main road, central .. easy to take a cheap bus or taxi from a quiet place to wherever you wish .. listed by area here https:/…city-beds.php
Prices are still showing quite high right now ... best wait until November or later to book ..Edited: 20 September 2018, 09:29
