In Central Brussels, it is best to park in a car park as street parking is generally limited to an hour or so (outside commercial areas, 1/2 day) and is complicated to work out so you don't get fined.
Here is a list of car parks with prices, directions, etc., e.g. 8 hrs costs €14.10 under Place de la Monnaie, €14.40 under Place de Brouckère which are about as central as you can get (albeit listed under "Northern part of the city" on here): interparking.com/Public/en/Car-parks-brussel…
Thanks, some useful information. I had planned to visit the Hysel area anyway so that might be an ideal place to park. Are there specific car parks in that area.
Follow signs to the Expo and then direct yourself towards Bruparck or the Atomium (which is hard to miss): there's a big free carpark next to Bruparck for the Kinepolis cinema etc. and this is the closest to the metro station. But it effectively continues all the way down to the atomium and around the football stadium.
Thanks for your help
