Festivals the week of September 18-24

We will be in the San Quirco area of Tuscany for this week and would love to know if there are any festivals nearby then.

I just left this same information on a similar post so I'll copy it here:

"Around that time of year you'll find a lot of great things going on, it's usually the time of grape harvesting for winemakers (vendemmia), but I think you will just miss out on some of those festivals, though you may catch the one in San Casciano Val di Pesa where there'll be local food and wine. What might be easier to get to by public transport (train) is Chiusi - there's a "grape and wine" festival from the 19th to the end of the month. The Monday looks like a good day to go as they have the "cantine aperte" (open wine cellars) throughout the streets: http://www.festadelluvaedelvino.it/

It might also be a good idea to check back closer to the date as many of these sort of things are not advertised too far in advance."

San Casciano may be too far north if you want to stay in your area, Chiusi is about 50 mins drive away. Around the same time there is also a festival in Panzano (near Greve), also about an hour north: vinoalvinopanzano.com/Vino_al_Vino_Panzano/P…

P.S. Do you have your own transport?
