Are there boat trips from Rome to Sardinia?

Is it possible to board a boat from Rome (or somewhere near by) to sardinia? How long would this take and how often do they run?

Thank you

You can take a ferry in Civitavecchia.

Also look at these two companies

- compare the prices as specials are often available..if you plan to take a hire car check if it can be taken on the island as many companies do not allow it
