Stay in Vincenza instead of Venice?

Wondering if a day trip to Venice from Vicenza might be enough, although I heard Venice is so nice at night after the cruise crowds etc. leave...If I stayed in Vicenza for four nights instead of in Venice, I could probably day trip to Verona and/or Padua as well before heading to Florence.

It's not a bad ideato use Vicenza as a base and visit those cities. A bit tirin.

You could but probably packing too much in, to much time traveling I would stay in Venice worth more than a day,

Would you really love to stay in Vicenza or just to use it as a base. If just for a base to see Padua and Verona in addition to Venice, then stay in Venice. You can do day trips to Padua and Verona easily from Venice. You will have more to do in Venice.

Vicenza is beautiful but if it us your first time in Venice one day is not enough at all.
