Hubby and I will be staying in Vicenza for 5 nights in September and planning on doing daily train trips to surrounding towns eg we are definitely spending a day in Venice which we've been to before so one day will do us this time, Lake Garda and Bologna, but would appreciate suggetions for possibilities out of either Treviso or Padua or Verona or another day? Of course one day we'll be spending exploring Vicenza.

I'm also open to other suggestions too.

Greetings!

In early September we'll be staying at Caserma Ederle in Vicenza and use it as a base to visit Venice and surrounding areas.

We're looking for tips/advice on the best transportation arrangement to go to Venice; mostly likely by train.

Also, recommendations on places to visit in Vicenza. Thanks in advance!

It's best to start your own thread rather than piggyback on someone else's.

Train would be the best way to get to Venice.
