Langhe wine area last week of January

Hi all

We are 3 friends, wine lovers who have 4 days for wine tasting last week of January. How is the weather around Alba that time of year ? Do wineries open for visits that time of year ?

Thanks in advance.

January is not a great time to go, the weather will be cold for sure, likely damp and foggy, snow is also a possibility.

Places like Barolo and LaMorra are all about wine and would expect the wine shops and museums to be open at the weekend, not so sure during the week.

Would contact the tourist office in Alba or Barolo to check what exactly will be open.

Snow is definitely a possibility, and even if it doesn't make traveling around easy, it can be very beautiful to see.

Some things will be closed, but on the other hand : wine farmers will have more time for you if you want to visit them. But it is best to plan a bit beforehand and make appointments for the visits.

Have fun in our beautiful region !
