Your favorite souvenir from Bologna?

I leave for Bologna next week and am really excited.

Anything you’ve picked up in Bologna that you really love? I’m thinking I might find something to help decorate my kitchen or dining table that will also help me remember my trip. Would love to hear from anyone what you might have picked up while in Bologna (or what you wish you brought home!)

As silly as it sounds, the postcards we send ourselves that arrive after we get home. We too are heading back to Bologna in a few days. Enjoy your stay.

Hi, you may want to check these places:

Coin - more affordable than the above mentioned addresses - is one of the few surviving Italian department store chains, and it has a lot of interesting items. The store in Bologna is located right by the Due Torri.

And if you want to look for something more localish and hard to find elsewere, just roam around the traditional shops and the antique shops located in the Quadrilatero area, in via D'Azeglio or the picturesque secondary strees in the areas of the historic centre south of Piazza Maggiore. Consider perhaps the Antica Aguzzeria del Cavallo in via Drapperie or - if you're into something more contemporary - the beautiful potteries sold at Bifranci Ceramica in via Rialto.

Or why not a Bologna's tarot set?

Or, more serious, a Fiance ceramic.

"And if you want to look for something more localish and hard to find elsewere"... you should go to the Drogheria della Pioggia!!!! Not so touristy...

BTW: the "Aguzzeria del Cavallo" (The horse knife shop) offer several interesting tools to make some of the Emilia-Romagna traditional kind of pasta, like passatelli, garganelli, tagliatelle, anolini and tortellini.

In Italy it is very easy to find tea towels and aprons with local scenes, wine regions of Italy (probably regional types of pasta too!). I imagine you can find more kitchen textiles if you look around. They have the advantage of being very easy to pack!

For kitchen textiles Romagna is a very good place where to purchase them. There is a very old and traditional way to print images on textiles. Lokk in this webistes, as example: http://www.pascucci1826.com/bottega.html https://www.stamperiamarchi.it/la-bottega .

In Bologna (if I am right) this products can be found in a textile shop in via Caprarie.
