random question

hi im heading barcelona 3rd April first visit cant wait. i have an unusual question im from ireland and i have piece of furniture at home with two spot lights in it and one of them blew. when i took out bulb its actually 24 volt we only have 12 volt in ireland just wondering does barcelona work on 24 volt as im wondering would i be able get bulb over there as i have looked every where here thanks

The supply in Ireland is the same as in Spain & the UK, 230/240V. You must have a transformer lowering the voltage? Or, getting muddled up with watts & volts.

Anyway..........any electrical wholesaler in Ireland can obtain a 24v bulb easily.

The chinese shops sell LED spot lights, these work on 8-24v but the base pin arrangement may not suit you.

this 2 amp 24 volt 50 watt g4 bulb have tried all the big stores in cork and dont do 24 volt only 12 volt thanks for letting me no about spain and yes there is a transformer in it and you plug it in with 2 pin plug

Halogen bulbs here are normally 12V.

Theres a couple of places that you could try both of which are near to Plaça de la Universitat (ie very central)

If they don't have them then they'd be able to get them
