I passed by the Plaza de la Merced this morning and saw that the remodeling of the plaza is finished. All the pavement is new, which is a good thing. Traffic has been removed from the side where the Picasso House Museum is, and the wide pavement allows much more sidewalk space for the cafeterias there. Many new trees have been planted, and now we will have to wait for them to grow.
On the pavement are little plaques which have the names of people who have been important in the city. However there is no explanation of who they were.
