5/6 hour stopover in Dussledorf / public transport

Hello,

We arrive at noon at Dusseldorf Airport having an 5-6 hours stopover and a few questions:

1. Are there any lockers/ left luggage storage ath the airport?

2. what is the best and cheapest way to get to the main Rail Station in Dusseldorf City Centre? Are there lockers available as well? How much do they cost? One of us will be travelling by bus at. 19.00, which will be leaving close to this Rail Station.

3. When we are without our luggage, we want to see the Fernsehturm and then have a walk next to the river, see Frank Gehry House and head back to the city centre. As the Fernsehturm isn't close too walk, what is the easiest way to get there by public transport? What is the ticket price? Maybe there is a one day ticket available?

We will be grateful for any tips and advice.

Thanks!

1. left luggage storage at the airport

flughafen-duesseldorf.de/dus_en/…gepaeck

2.

luggage lockers at Düsseldorf Hbf (main train station)

bahnhof.de/site/…gepaeck.html

Take the S-Bahn S11 from the Terminal Rail Station to Düsseldorf Hbf

flughafen-duesseldorf.de/dus_en/lageplaene/…

3.

And from there by bus to the Rheinturm (Rhine tower as this is the name of this TV tower).

VRR timetable

efa.vrr.de/vrrstd/XSLT_TRIP_REQUEST2…

From: Düsseldorf, Flughafen Terminal A/B/C

To: Düsseldorf Rheinturm

Single ticket for any trip inside Düsseldorf is EUR 2,40. Day ticket is EUR 5,70. Mini group (up to 5 persons) day ticket is EUR 12,60. Latter should be the best option in your case.

.

Not much in English on the VRR website since their latest relaunch.

Rheinbahn which operates the Stadtbahn (mixture of metro and trams), trams and buses in Düsseldorf for the VRR has some useful information in English on their pages

Wonderfull! You really are a helping hand! Thanks :)

But if you could tell me which bus to take to get to the main Rail Station from the airport, as one of us has to leave his suitcase there. It won't have sense to leave this person's bag at the airport lockers, because he would have to travel back and forth. And then how can we reach the Rheinturm from the Rail Station?
