Booked tickets online

We just arrived in Germany having booked our train tickets online before we left home. One must redeem booking in the station machine! Be aware that if u want to change date, it’s not possible & best to book when you get to Germany or only through German Rail otherwise u would loose booking/ money! We won’t be booking thru an agency website, in this case Rail Europe

"One must redeem booking in the station machine" - just to clarify: That is not true for tickets bought online from Deutsche Bahn (does happen if you buy on the phone, or if it is a booking that has to be processed by a human, i.e. some international tickets). So this must be your agency's fault.

"that if u want to change date, it’s not possible & best to book when you get to Germany"

You cannot change the date of saver fare tickets and some other offers. Saver fares are for exactly the long-distance trains stated on the ticket. Deutsche Bahn does make that quite clear when booking. On the other hand, these saver fares are usually a lot cheaper than tickets bought on the day (for long distances). So I do not think it is best to book when you are in Germany.

"only through German Rail "

That is true. The website is pretty good, no reason to use a third party.
