Transportation from Paris to Honfleur

Does anyone know of a taxi service or private driver that doesn't charge and arm and a leg to drive two people from Paris to Honfleur?

It is some 200 km from Paris to Honfleur. I would expect that a private driver would charge around €400.

What do you mean by an arm and a leg?

Paris to Honfleur is around 200 km by toll autoroute so a taxi will charge around € 400 plus € 40 to cover the tolls (but quite a lot more at "night" or on a Sunday or public holiday). That is a lot of money but it is a long way - and it is the rate for the job - perhaps you need to manage your expectations, or holiday planning, better. Most French people, indeed most Europeans, would consider it mad to hire a car or taxi for that length journey.

A more reasonable option would be to take the train to a reasonable sized town in Normandy and get a taxi from there. Trains from Gare St Lazare in Paris go to Rouen, Le Havre or Deauville. Look at https://www.voyages-sncf.com or www.trainline.eu

Take a train to either Le Havre or Deauville/Trouville. Use trainline.eu to check schedules snd prices and buy tickets. Tickets are cheapest when purchased 3 months in advance but last minute tickets to either of these places aren't excessively expensive and that allows you to choose the best weather day. There are buses from these places to Honfeur and you can check bus schedules at commentjyvais.com. If bus and train schedules don't match you can taxi. I think from Le Havre you'd pay a one way fare of 50 or 60 euros. Don't know about Deauville. Bus will obviously be much cheaper.
