Bus Éireann is pleased to announce the introduction of a more direct service from Limerick to Dublin Airport and Dublin City on Expressway Route 12.

The service, which begins on Sunday, April 17th 2011, will provide customers with additional early morning departure times from Limerick City. This will offer the customer more choices and provide them with a faster, more convenient service from Limerick to Dublin Airport and Dublin City.

Customers can depart Limerick as early as 2.30am to travel to Dublin Airport and 5.30am hrs to travel to Dublin City Centre

Not only do these new core services provide a faster journey time, they also eliminate the stress and inconvenience of getting to and from Dublin Airport. Route 12 provides customers with the choice of 5 new additional services to Dublin airport from Limerick and 6 new return services available from Dublin Airport every day. Commuter services are available in the am/pm with the integration of services available for the Luas at the Red Cow Stop.

“Bus Éireann is delighted to announce the introduction of new improved services on our Limerick-Dublin service. We feel that customers will now benefit from a range of new services to Dublin Airport with additional new departures from Limerick to Dublin airport and Dublin City at 02.30hrs and 05.30hrs respectively. This is all part of our attempts to offer new improved Expressway services for our customers”, said Miriam Flynn, Regional Manager, Bus Éireann, Southwest.

The new service from Limerick operates via, Nenagh, Roscrea, Mountrath and Non Stop from Portlaoise to Dublin Airport.

The service from Dublin Airport and Dublin City operates via Portlaoise, Mountrath, Roscrea and Nenagh to Limerick.

However, Kavanagh's Busses already do the same service and do it very well.

This is just another example of Bus Eireann trying to squeeze out private bus services

And less people would have to do the journey if certain people whose names begin with MOL didn't throw hissy fits and pull their planes out of Shannon!!

Lol Bean, how right you are about our friend Mr O'Leary:-))

I am delighted that Aer Lingus/Aer Arann have taken up the Edinburgh route that our friend pulled out of.

We could do with a few more routes out of Shannon though, I will fly out of Dublin only as a last resort.

Hi Gael,

Thank you for the info. I would like to use the Bus to the Airport from Limerick on Sun 31 May. The Bus company drops off at the Airport at Atrium Road.

Is this Rd. inside the airport, close to the terminals? I'm flying out of terminal 2 and I need to know how far I have to walk. How long would it take?

We have a flight to catch at 6.25 so i dont think Bus Eireann will do me Kavanaghs is a better option
