We will be spending night 7&8 of a 10 night vacation in this area. It's our first time and we may never get back. Should we stay 2 nights in Killarney and only drive over to dingle or 1 night in each. We have a driver who will be with us both days. We will end the last 2 days in Galway before flying out of Shannon back to USA

Hi,

Personally i would stay 2 nights in Killarney, otherwise you will waste time packing up, checking in/out etc. After the second night you could visit the Dingle Peninsula on the way up to Galway, although that would be a long day!

I agree with Tongo.

Although one mitigating factor is that you haven't said where you are coming to Killarney from. That may well impact on suggestions.

I would say two nights in Killarney, if you had asked the same question the other way round, 'should I stay two nights in Dingle or one in each' I would say stay two nights in Dingle.

I am really not a fan of moving every day and taking your luggage with you everywhere.

You are not giving enough information as one piece of a blank jigsaw could fit anywhere.

If you have a driver.. what do they say?? They should know your plans and be working with/advising you.

For what its worth I would split counties Kerry and Galway with a night in (south) County Clare so you can see some of Clare on the way up. But without knowing what you are doing Before Kerry I can't offer best advice.

Hi! Thank you! We are coming from West Cork... we will be doing night Kayaking there and stay at caseys of Baltimore. We then have 2 nights to explore dingle/Killarney area....I have heard such great things about dingle but also great things about Killarney. I suppose we should choose to make one our base since we give up the driver at night but I just can't decide on which one...
