Failte Tours

Hello,

Has anyone used Failte Tours in Galway Ireland to book the Cliffs of Moher tour/burren tour and the Connemara tours? I have e-mailed them 3x with no response about the 15 euro combined tour and I havent been able to get in touch with them. I feel like this might be a shady company because they cant even respond to emails but I just wanted to see if anyone one else has booked this tour or any tours with them. I would love to save the money by booking the two tours for 15 euro total but I do not want to be throwing my money away with a company that may not be the best.

Thanks!

There is a lot of mention of Failte tours on the net, but all that I could find were advertising, I could not find any reviews. At the same time I could not find any reference to a €15 combined tour, there are some cheap tours through third party agents and maybe you would need to be more cautious of these than the tour group itself. What did the offer claim? I cannot see how you would do the two in one day, and to be honest the price seems a bit too good to be true.

The tours are set for 2 seperate days. Here is the link http://www.godaytour.com/

Last month it was advertised on their site and I inqured about it 2x and they didnt respond. I also emailed them 2x this week and submitted my information in this link. I am about to give up on this tour group.

Any decent tour company would have a landline number and not just a mobile no. I'd be wary of that.

Check out these well know tour companies for daytrips to the Cliffs of Moher and Connemara.

and Bus Eireann also do tours from the bus/train station in Galway City. You can book at the office there.

The website listed, gives equal prominence to Gobus promotion.

I've seen Gobus.ie in Galway and they seem fine. Their prices are pretty much in line with many of the other cross country private bus services.

But I'm wondering about the link between Gobus and Failte Tours.

As Susie has said, be very wary in dealings with any company that don't give a landline number.

I just called them there at the number they provide - there is an answering machine - which is not unusual - they probably don't need to man the office full days now as the "season" is over. I have seen their buses around also - I don't think they are shady. When did you email them.

Recently I have heard some bad stories about the lallys tour and hence I don't promote them anymore on this site.

The €15 offer was for two tours to be taken over two days. As you rightly said, you could not do the two tours on the same day. This was an offer for students and we often put up special offers. Please check back and you may see this offer again and indeed if you joined the tour you would then be able to say if it was good value.
