quiet ?

We are thinking of taking the ferry over to Dublin for a couple of nights between Christmas and new year [ 28th and 29th Fri and Sat nights ] Because its so near to new year do you think the bars at night will be quiet as regards music etc ? The hotels seem to have some really good deals on at that time

From my experience between Christmas and New Year is a time when people tend to catch up with friends and family, often in the pub, I wouldn't think it will be particularly quiet.

Lollymcd is right. From Stephen's Day to new eyar will be quite lively in pubs. Many people are on holidays - and lots of them home from abroad for this period.
