The 13/A dublinbus.ie/en/… 4 dublinbus.ie/en/… or the 140 dublinbus.ie/en/…

13/A is probably the best option. Departs from Dr Quirkey's on O'Connell St (among other stops)

If its IKEA, going by our experience, a private bus is what she needs!!!

Kelly Travel in Pallasgrean (outside Limerick) used to do bus trips up to IKEA in the beginning. Is there any company in Wexford that would do the same?

The bus goes through a right dodgy area to get to the store. As a female, I wouldn't go alone.

@whiterabbit: All the locals know the bus goes through Ballymun.... the OP will NOT be geting off there so she has nothing to worry about and as IKEA is the first stop going back into town she will have her choice of seats downstairs.....where it is advisable to sit.

I have taken the bus there several times and have "survived" to tell the tale!

As someone not local, I disagree.

We got on that bus by accident. We had to wait quite a long while at the IKEA stop for the next bus to come back. I didn't like the looks at all of a few people who walked up to that stop, waiting as we were. I was very glad to have my husband and son with me.

Don't get me wrong. Dublin is a lovely city, but like any city it has it's undesirable areas. I wouldn't go out to that store as a female on my own.
