Affordable B&B or Hotel Near Croke Park?

Hi all,

I'm thinking of coming over for the U2 concerts this summer which are rumored to be July 25th-27th. I've been to Dublin before and stayed in the city centre -but would like to stay somewhere close to Croke Park this time since I'll just be in the city for the concerts, and ideally would like something safe and walking distance. Does anyone know of B&Bs near by? Jury's Croke Park Hotel is already booked for those dates and way over priced anyway.

many thanks!

Most B&Bs in Drumcondra would be within walking distance, or a short bus ride from Croke Park.

Croke Park is quite close to the city centre and within reasonable walking distance. You could check out Jurys Inns in Parnell Street and on Custom House Quay, plus the Maldron at Parnell Square for budget accommodation within walking distance (say 30 minutes walk)of the venue. Alternatively, in addition to B&Bs in Drumcondra as mentioned by Newgrange, you could also try B&Bs in Clontarf or Glasnevin. Neither location is that near the city centre but both are walkable to and from Croke Park, or a short taxi ride, if fatigue sets in.

You might find that prices in general will rise for the dates of any major sporting or similar event, so it may be a struggle to get bargain accommodation.

You could try the Maples Hotel on Iona Road. Its located in a nice residential area very close to Croke Park and a safe 15 mins walk.

Dont get too caught up with close to Croke park

there is plenty of B&Bs around there but the quality would be very hit and miss.

I would stay in the centre of town and stroll over to the stadium. nearly everyone else will be doing that anyway and you can just follow the crowd.

Even if you stayed on the southside the taxi would be only a few euro.

Try the Jurys in parnell square, maldren on Granby row
