Concert malahide...where shall we stay?

Looking to get Liam Gallagher tickets for hubby and have a kid free weekend away..where is easily accessible to stay between here and airport? The smaller towns in between or Dublin itself? Been a few times to Dublin so not too fussed where as long as there are bars and restaurants etc. Thanks

I'd try to stay in Malahide if possible - it's a lovely village with some great pubs and restaurants. Alternatively you could stay in the city centre and travel out on the DART train for the concert.

If you can't find anywhere else you could also look at nearby Portmarnock and at Swords which is just north of the airport.

Hi! Everywhere is soooo expensive! Looked at swords found a nice b and b just waiting for her to get back.is it really easy travelling from dub centre up to here? There's a lovely place by the beach just up and right from malahide but looks like you need to go right round to get back to malahide as it's stuck on a lip out.

Yes it's really easy to get to Malahide from Dublin City Centre - you can just take the DART.

If you're Not staying in the city centre try to make sure you're near public transport.

Ask the B&B if they're near a bus stop.

what do you mean in #2? are you talking about portmarnock? if so it is just a straight road to malahide and you can easily walk it if you want. if it is donabate then you can get a train to malahide. its only one stop.

of course, there is a travelodge and a premier inn in swords and near the airport, and there is a bus service to malahide.

but the obvious thing to do is when making enquiries, do as dubfan says, ask the relevant b and b

ah well, now you have a problem! it is quite a walk to donabate station down an unlit and secluded road, so certainly would not be recommended

where are you coming from, and how?

well then, the premier inn or travelodge would be possibilities. both have shuttles from the airport so easy to get to and from.

try castle lodge malahide....right beside the castle entrance. or sonas b and b on the coast road in malahide. or maybe the island view hotel, also on the coast road, or biscayne house b and b on the coast road
