Rosslare- Fishguard

Can anyyone tell me if it is possible to go up on deck as soon as you board this ferry as I know someone who wants to travel this route but is very claustrophobic and needs to be in the open air!!

Which ferry are you getting, Superferry or Express?

If it's the S/Ferry then you can definitely go on deck once you board. Not sure about the express.

When I was on the Jonathon Swift (another company) two years ago, they did not open the doors to the deck until the ferry was at sea. Even at that the deck area was very small.

My daughter and I used the Stena express ferry last week. As soon as your car is parked you are expected to get out and go up to the upper levels where the shops and food areas are. In fact, once everyone is out of the car levels, they close off the stairs that go back down to there. My daughter wanted to go to the car and get her blanket as it was quite chilly in the lounge, but she couldn't.
