Daily ATM Withdrawal Limits

Is there a daily limit for cash withdrawals at ATMs? I changed my daily limit with my bank, but I'm starting to get the impression from other posts on TA that the limits are set by the bank/ATM that you use (in Ireland). Thanks!

I think the maximum amount the majority of ATM's here can process in one translation is €700. But if your limit is higher I think you can just put your card back in and ask for more.

Thanks! I'm having a tough time getting answers from my bank here in the US; it seems like for every swipe of the card there is a fee, so I'd like to use cash and minimize the amount of times I use my card.

No worries!

Is there time to open up an account that doesn't charge for overseas withdrawals? I've heard through this forum that there's a Capital One account that doesn't. Always good to have two account when travelling just in case!

60sd I think you'll find that exchanging cash is pretty expensive too. Compare the rate you can get with the middle rate on a site like http://www.xe.com/. From what I've seen you're likely to be paying 5% - 8% which will make costs of using cards look cheap.
