Ireland in October, Itinerary opinions

I'll be going to Ireland in mid October this year for two weeks. There is a lot we'd like to see but don't want to squeeze too much into our trip and not be able to relax occasionally. So far, we've got the plan below.

Day 1- Fly into Dublin

Stay for 2 or 3 days exploring the city

Trinity College, Book of Kells

Museums

Pubs

Day 4- Kilkenney

Stay for two days

See Castle of Kilkenney and medieval town

Day 6- Glendalough

I've read this is a beautiful town to visit

Day 7- Waterford

Mother in law wants to see the crystal. :)

Onto Cork for the night

Day 7- Cork

Explore city

Day 8- Killarney

Stay for two days

Killarney National Park

Ring of Kerry

Day 10- Dingle

Ring of Dingle

Day 11- Galway

Stop to see Cliffs of Moher on the way

Explore Galway

Day 12-Drive back to Dublin

Stop by Clonmacnoise

Day 13- Fly back home

Please let me know if this will allow us the time needed to explore the cities. And, if you could recommend any must see's in the cities mentioned that would great.

Thank you!

the only thing i would suggest is since you are flying into and out of dublin, just spend your first and last day there....also, and i love kilkenny, one day is enough there...

then you could add a day to dingle, you will be so glad you did...then i would add one to the galway area, if not, it's not worth spending a half day of driving only to have a half day once you get there.... then you could spend a day and night in bunratty and return to dublin from there...the ceili is well worth the time and visiting the villages is wonderful.....

have a wonderful time.....

Visit Glendalough on your way to Kilkenny, otherwise you will be doubling back

Okay, one day in Kilkenney should be good.

Thank you!
