Hi there,

I think the bus service between Nairn and Cawdor only runs weekdays Mon-Fri.

If you don't have a car (and don't want to hire one), I would suggest the best bet may be a taxi from Nairn to Cawdor Castle and back. Which would probably be between £20 and £25 each way.

The other alternative may be to hire bikes and cycle it, if the weather is ok.....but be careful on the road.

Candor Castle is well worth the effort to visit. The Castle is splendid, the tour is informative, and the gardens are stunning. The village also has some nice pubs-restaurants for a lunch.

Cheers,

I would have thought closer to £7.00 or £8.00 for a single journey. If it's a nice day walking along the river is a great option.

I agree about the walk along the river - its lovely...or you could hire bikes(can you in Nairn?) and cycle...or walk one way and taxi back. Phew! I'm exhausted just thinking about it!
